As Ohio Treasurer, I was the first and only statewide elected official in Ohio to support the Heartbeat

Bill – legislation prohibiting abortion after an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detected. I oppose

using tax dollars for abortions and support the defunding of Planned Parenthood. As a state

legislator, I championed numerous pieces of life-saving legislation such as requiring ultrasounds

to occur prior to an abortion and requiring clinics to post notices warning against coercion to

force an abortion.
