Third consecutive independent poll shows Mandel in lead
New polls released in recent days show Josh Mandel leading Sherrod Brown in the race for US Senate in Ohio.
An independent Gravis Marketing poll, which was conducted April 27th through May 2nd and can be viewed here, showed Josh Mandel leading Sherrod Brown 45% to 42%. According to Bloomberg Politics, in 2016 Gravis Marketing’s results were 95 percent accurate for the contests it covered, the highest rating of any organization.
The People’s Pundit Daily poll, which was conducted April 27th through May 3rd and can be viewed here, shows Mandel leading Brown by 5 points, beating him in a head-to-head matchup 49% to 44%. According to Forbes, PPD was one of only 3 pollsters, along with the L.A. Times and Investor’s Business Daily, to actually predict Donald Trump’s general election victory in 2016, while most other notable polling organizations failed.
This is the third independent poll in a row to show Mandel leading Brown, following a WPA Research survey, which was conducted November 29th to December 1st, 2016 and can be viewed here, that showed Mandel up 40% to 39%.
In what will likely be one of the most expensive and high-profile Senate races in the country, it is clear that Mandel’s next-generation conservative message and pro-Trump profile is resonating with voters over Brown’s 40 years in politics and far-left record.
